Our History

In August of 1977, Dean and Char Larson and Charles (Max) Strothman, Char's brother, purchased Duralum Siding which was located on Michigan Ave. in Stevens Point. In 1992, Dean and Char bought out Max's part of the business.  Over time, they out grew the building space on Michigan Ave. so they looked for property to build a bigger building. In 1997, work began on their new building in Plover at the corner of Mecca Dr. and Maple Dr. where the business is currently located. As of August 3, 2018 the business is under new ownership by a second generation of the family, Carey Larson, Dean and Char's Son. The business has also undergone a name change, becoming Duralum Building Center!
